Tom Sawyer Software Releases New Graph Visualization Software for Microsoft Visual C++

Graph Editor Toolkit for MFC, Version 5.1, Includes Major Technical Improvements

Oakland, CA, September 27, 2002—Tom Sawyer Software, the leader in high-performance graph analysis and visualization solutions, today released its new Graph Editor Toolkit for MFC, Version 5.1, which incorporates breakthrough enhancements in orthogonal layout and drawing speed.

The Graph Editor Toolkit for MFC, Version 5.1, offers comprehensive performance enhancements.

Brendan Madden, Chief Executive Officer of Tom Sawyer Software, said, "This release features many performance improvements. Significant enhancements include a new high-speed display system that is approximately ten times faster than previous versions. The display engine can now scale to tens of thousands of nodes without noticeable performance degradation for selection and drawing operations. We are also releasing a new incremental orthogonal layout system with edge attachment support. This has applications in the bioinformatics, database design, business process reengineering, modeling, software engineering, IT infrastructure, and electrical and mechanical schematic marketplaces."

The MFC libraries support Microsoft Windows 95, 98, ME, NT 4.0, 2000, and XP, and have compatibility with Microsoft Visual C++. Both ANSI and Unicode versions are available.
