Tom Sawyer Software Releases Tom Sawyer Perspectives, Version 7.5, .NET Edition

Introduces New TinkerPop Data Integration, New System Modeling Example Application, Client-Side Action Capabilities, New Modern Network UIs, and Updated Zoom and Pan controls.

Berkeley, CA, April 27, 2016—Tom Sawyer Software, the premier provider of software for building high-performance graph and data visualization and analysis applications, announces the release of Tom Sawyer Perspectives, Version 7.5, .NET Edition.

This release introduces new TinkerPop integration. With TinkerPop integration, Tom Sawyer Perspectives can easily communicate with data sources supporting the TinkerPop REST API. This new integrator allows for many graph databases such as Oracle Big Data Spatial and Graph, Neo4j, DataStax Enterprise Graph, Titan and OrientDB to be accessed easily. Built-in support for parameterized Gremlin queries exposes the full power of TinkerPop with a seamless user experience.

This release also includes a new System Modeling example application. This application uses a hybrid vehicle schematic to illustrate how Tom Sawyer Perspectives can be used for modeling and systems engineering.

New System Modeling Example Application

This release introduces the ability to add client-side actions to your web application to enable reduced interaction between the client and the server. This update reduces roundtrip traffic between the client and server when executing pure client-side actions.

Various improvements have been made to layout quality and performance, as well as to the user experience, including new and more modern network UIs, updated zoom and pan controls, and improvements to the documentation. In addition, our Network Editor example application has an updated look and feel.
