Tom Sawyer Software's Graph Visualization Technology proposal was selected from hundreds of proposals submitted to the ATP for "Component-Based Software Technology Development" (competition 95-09) in 1995. NIST supports research through the ATP, providing cost-shared funding for high-risk research and development projects that have the potential to spark important, broad-based economic benefits for the United States. Tom Sawyer Software was among seven software companies in the United States awarded this grant after a rigorous review by the ATP based on both scientific and technical merit.
The ATP's "Component-Based Software Technology Development" program emphasizes approaches based on semantic analysis of software components. Each component is automatically transformed at the point of use to be compatible with the target market.
