Description

Tom Sawyer Software is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Product Development Engineer in Riga, Latvia. As a member of the Product Development team, this person will design, develop, and test Tom Sawyer’s information systems.

Primary Responsibilities: Qualifications: Develop and maintain Tom Sawyer’s information systems Work closely with the architectural team to refine requirements and designs Implement system modules Test systems to ensure consistent quality and adherence to company standards Work closely with Marketing, Sales, and other departments to understand their work flow and develop information systems to increase efficiency throughout the organization Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent degree Minimum of two years of software development experience Experience with software design Proficiency in Java Expertise in Database design and implementation Expertise in web development Interest in interacting with other departments and understanding how they work Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment Strong attention to detail with good organizational skills Clear, confident and succinct oral and written communication skills Fluency in both written and spoken Latvian and English Brings energy, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude to the job
