Introducing Tom Sawyer Data Streams: Real-Time Knowledge Graph Modeling for AI and Data Pipelines

Join us November 19, 2025 at 9 a.m. PST for this live webinar

Join us for this live webinar with Thanos Giannakis, Senior Product Development Engineer at Tom Sawyer Software, as he discusses how to unify your streaming and legacy data into a single, governed, query-ready knowledge graph you own, using Tom Sawyer Data Streams. See firsthand how to subscribe to Apache Kafka (or Confluent) topics sourced from databases, files, and APIs; apply precise transformations and filters; then run flows continuously to normalize, enrich, and link changing streams in real time. Persist the knowledge graph in a graph database for scalable sharing and downstream analysis, integrate with existing pipelines and catalogs, and use the graph as a high-quality context layer for AI.

Discover how Tom Sawyer Data Streams reduces integration effort and delivers a complete, accurate picture for lineage, impact analysis, and operational decisions.

Thanos Giannakis, Senior Product Development Engineer at Tom Sawyer Software, demonstrates how to unify Kafka streams into query-ready knowledge graphs using Tom Sawyer Data Streams.

What to expect

During this live webinar, attendees will learn how to:

  • Subscribe to Apache Kafka (or Confluent) topics, then transform and persist those events into a knowledge graph model

  • Automatically extract schemas from Kafka topics, refine them in a visual editor, and apply advanced filters and rules with Spring Expression Language (SpEL)

  • Use the web-based designer to define sources, transformations, conditions, and sinks to build and monitor data flows

  • Run flows in batch or continuously to ingest and transform events as they arrive

  • Persist transformed data to a graph database and publish results back to Kafka for downstream services

  • Pair Data Streams with Tom Sawyer Perspectives or Tom Sawyer Explorations for advanced graph and data visualization and analysis

  • Discover how Data Streams can prepare and process data for LLMs, validate generative AI outputs, and unify agentic results in a governed single source of truth

Thanos Giannakis joined Tom Sawyer Software in 2018 as a Software Engineer working on data integration using graph and relational databases. Since 2020, he leads technical teams to orchestrate the development of robust software systems that leverage the power of graph databases to extract insights from complex data structures. Thanos brings over 9 years of expertise in software development, graph database integrations, and graph-based solutions.

Prior to joining Tom Sawyer Software, Thanos served as a Software Engineer and Researcher at the Institute of Computer Science in Crete. There he specialized in the design and development of web and Java applications for high-speed data acquisition and integration. His work extensively covered areas such as graph database technologies, information retrieval, Semantic Web, and knowledge representation, with a particular focus on exploratory search and Linked Data. In addition to his research and development roles, Thanos was also a teaching assistant in Java at the University of Computer Science Department in Crete.

Thanos holds a Master of Software Engineering degree from the University of Computer Science Department in Crete.
