Under his expert guidance, Tom Sawyer Software has been awarded for excellence in component-based software technology development from the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology Advanced Technology Program.

With forty years of experience in the graph field, Brendan is one of the world's foremost experts in graph and data visualization, graph layout, and graph analysis. He is also an expert in concepts, organization, operations, design, product management, user experience, and fine detail work.
In the last decade Tom Sawyer Software has developed considerable expertise in business process, systems modeling, and knowledge graphs.
Working Background
Prior to founding Tom Sawyer Software, Brendan was employed at the IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center, the IBM Santa Teresa Laboratory, and Vitalink Communications.
Education
Brendan has a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied and Engineering Physics from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physics from Ithaca College. He attended graduate school in Electrical Engineering at Arizona State University.
